Beautiful Sceneries at Lulin Shan & The Ride of My Life

Day 5: Beautiful Scenery at Lulin Shan

Everyone gather up at 7.20am and got ready to set off to Lulin Shan.
On the way there, everyone was so tired that they fell asleep on the bus.
Upon reaching we had our lunch and set off for the water rafting.
Too bad I can't bring camera on board so there isn't any photos.
However, there is a photo of us taken by a camera man at the start of the slope.
First time rafting and it was an awesome experience.
Tagged up with Edy.
Haha.
Then, we headed over to see the waterfalls.
Very nice view of the beautiful waterfall.
And finally, after a long tiring day, we checked in at a 1 star hotel on the mountain.
The best
accommodation we had since we come Wuhan.

Me, Edy & Daniel in the bus before setting off to Lulin Shan.

We were wearing the same event shirt.

We headed for lunch then off we go for the water rafting.
A truly enjoyable experience.

The only picture we had.
Bought this from the camera man at $15 yuan.
hahhaa.
Nice right?
Look how much fun Edy and Me is enjoying.
HAHA!

After rafting, we headed over to see the waterfall.
We walked through the place and admire the beautiful waterfalls.

Entrance of the pathway we took to the Waterfalls.

Beautiful walkway.
Looks like a scene from Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Take a look at the rice crops.
Must have taken sweat, blood and time to grow till this stage.

They have a dustbin along the pathway for tourists to throw the rubbish.

Finally, we reached the first waterfall!
There is a few more waterfall down the path.
Very nice view right?
It's spectacular.

While walking to the 2nd water fall, we saw another nice scene of waterfall.
Nice nice? :)

& an another one.

& an another big waterfall, almost the same size as the first one we saw.

A photo of Daniel and Me :)

ME AND EDY LOVER PHOTO!
hahaha.
The waterfall behind us is call a Lover Waterfall.
Hahaha.

After which, we settled down for dinner.

After dinner, we checked into our hotel.

Our room number.

They uses the card scanning system to unlock the door.

Now, take a look inside the hotel.
TV, oh my god.
It's been long since i watch a television.

The interior of the toilets

Although still squat, but its very wide.
Much better than the one we have at our hostel.
If only, we have this toilet at our hostel, i would be more than satisfied.
If only..

After putting down our luggage, we headed for a night performance near the hotel.

Gathering a hotel lobby before setting off.

Random shots of the night performance.

Everyone gathering for the campfire.
Can see a very nice bonding session among those villagers and residents that live around there.

One of the dancers teaching them how to dance to a song.

Lastly, I'll end this post of myself. Haha! :P

A green shirt i got myself at
Lulin Shan. :)
it cost me $20 yuan.
haha.

Day 6: The Ride of My Life

I call this day The Ride of My Life because the drivers drive us around the mountains at very high speed and making sharp turns which swing us from left to right, up and down.
Just 1 wrong move & you may see us tumbling down the sides of the hill in the bus we are in. Of cos CHOY; touch wood.
After breakfast, we were driven to the
绿林山南寨 to see the history of army fighting on the moutains before.

Welcome to 绿林山南寨

Edy, Shuai Ge, Me!

Me and the beautiful view.

Testing out the bow and arrow.
First time holding onto it.

Reflections:

The drivers here are really neglecting the safety of their passengers. While driving to
绿林山南寨, the drivers use horns at blind spots to warned the oncoming traffic. Yes, that is a good technique. However, they are still driving at that top speed. What if there is an oncoming traffic travelling at that same speed too. I really can't imagine the outcome. Not only on moutains do they do that, they travel at high speeds on normal road and highways too. Subsequently, they even drive against the traffic to cut lanes and overtake the traffic. Super dangerous. Now, I finally appreciate the drivers at Singapore than over here.

Dear Erwin, thanks for your commentary of events on Day 5 and 6 + your reflections. Seems that is the way China Tour drivers drive - from what I can see from my own experience travelling five times in China. But, don't worry. I must say, they are very experienced drivers. Regards, Lim Choon Boo
